As a Practice & Skills Instructor in Commercial Law, you will work collaboratively within an educational team, focusing on blended learning and innovative teaching techniques that promote active and collaborative learning. You will coach students in small learning groups (tutor groups) on their projects and assignments.
In our legal skills workshops, which emphasize competences such as legal analysis, legal advice, legal representation, and decision-making, you will provide hands-on assistance in the classroom. We believe that developing strong legal skills is critically important for equipping our students for successful careers, and we take pride in our unique and comprehensive skills curriculum.
Additionally, you will take on supporting roles within a Year 1 or Year 2 module and/or contribute to a service team within our programme.
What do we expect from you?

Furthermore, when reading through your resume and cover letter, we would like to see that you have:
- at least a Bachelor in Law in Commercial LAW;
- a residency permit that allows full time work in The Netherlands;
- some experience in professional practice;
- some experience in teaching or coaching and an open mind towards new teaching- and learning methods;
- excellent language skills in English (basic comprehension of Dutch is welcome);
When we meet for an interview, you will be able to demonstrate that you can alternate in roles and styles in order to meet your goals. Your candidacy will improve if you are able to share examples from your work experience showing us the following:
- You look forward to contributing to a collaborative learning and teaching environment with people from different cultural backgrounds;
- You are able to connect, motivate and communicate with our students during their development towards becoming legal professionals;
- You have strong organizational and IT skills and can work under time pressure;
This is what you can expect from us
First and foremost, it's important that you are able to enjoy your work. In addition, we offer you:
- An employment contract for 1st Feb – 15th August
- A salary between € 3.609,94 and € 5.377,13 gross per month for a full working week 40 hours (This includes the collective labor agreement (CLA) increase as of January 1, 2025)
- 8% vacation allowance
- Guaranteed end-of-year pay of 8,3%
- An extensive leave arrangement
- The choice between an NS Business card (2nd class) for your commutes or a kilometer based compensation.
