What will you do?
As a lecturer, you will provide innovative education across the broad field of communication. Your lectures will be engaging and relevant, responding to current trends and developments. By bringing in different perspectives from your experience, you will captivate students and help them develop competencies that align with the current (international) job market. With your entrepreneurial mindset and fresh perspective, you will contribute to further developing the curriculum and connecting it to professional practice.
You will guide students in their graduation projects, internships, and various projects, teaching subjects such as public communication, digital communication, and marketing communication. You will encourage students to develop a curious and research-oriented mindset, enabling them to bridge worlds as future communication professionals. This might just be one of the most exciting reasons to join us as a communication lecturer.
What do we expect from you?
We are looking for a dedicated professional who takes initiative. You are flexible and capable of thinking beyond conventional boundaries.
To be successful in this role, your CV should include:
- A relevant master’s degree;
- Preferably relevant (international) work experience in the field;
- Affinity with higher education or teaching experience;
- A didactic certificate – preferably you have already obtained your BDB (Basic Didactic Competence) and BKE (Basic Examination Competence) certifications;
- Preferably, proficiency in both Dutch and English at a professional level, enabling you to teach in both languages.
During the interview, you will convince us with examples demonstrating that you:
- Can teach various communication subjects (e.g., copywriting, concept and creation, consulting, internal and external communication, public communication);
- Can teach research skills;
- Have ideas about successfully integrating relevant industry developments into education;
- Know how to stimulate students in their learning process and help them grow into successful communication professionals;
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, show engagement, and contribute to shared goals, for example, by sharing information and knowledge with the team;
- Can adapt your communication styles and roles to achieve your objectives;
- Motivate and inspire students, focusing on their personal development and academic results.

- An employment contract for one year (D4), with an appointment of 0.8 or 1.0 FTE (32 or 40 hours per week);
- A salary between €4,535.76 and €6,359.47 gross per month (scale 11) for a full-time position;
- 8% vacation allowance
- Guaranteed end-of-year pay of 8,3%
- An extensive leave arrangement
- The choice between an NS Business card (2nd class) for your commutes or a kilometer based compensation.
